4-1/2" X 5/8"-11 T27 ZIRCONIA HIGH DENSITY FLAP DISC - 1 PIECE

4-1/2" x 5/8"-11 T27 (Flat Face) Zirconia High Density Flap Discs are manufactured using European zirconia cloth. The European material is superior due to its uniform particle size and premium blend of ingredients. These discs exceed our other flap discs by packing 40% more abrasives on each snippet than our regular density discs. In addition, all discs are manufactured on computer-controlled machines and subject to numerous tests which ensure high quality and greater safety.  The 5/8”-11 hub allows for easy spin-on spin-off action.

The trimmable backing allows for maximum use of all flaps on each disc. The plastic trimmable backer on these flap discs enables you to use up more flaps, significantly extending each disc's service life. Thus flap discs assure consistent performance as new particles are continually exposed during the product's life and offer a better-finished surface. It can be used for grinding, deburring, edge chamfering, blending & finishing.

T27 (flat face) discs are perfect for grinding down items that are not flat surfaces (like fence posts, gates, and risers etc).  For the best solution on flat surfaced check out our T29 (angled face) flap discs.

Zirconia grains have a self-sharpening property and stand up to higher heat and pressure than Aluminum Oxide (A/O), thus making Zirconia the go-to option, providing excellent stock removal that gives you more bang for your buck.

Safety Tips & Techniques:

• This flap disc can be trimmed back to expose more flap area, thus extending the life of the product
• For less stock removal try using a lighter touch or a feathered approach to your grinding.  Flap discs are like grinding wheels with power steering!
• Always wear proper PPE to include (but not limited to) safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and hand protection.  Keep all guards in place on your machine.
